I finally found a little time to make a post in my blog. I usually blog a lot on the Danish Xboxlife site, and I will try to do a bit better in here in the future. As am I sure you already noticed, I will do my blog posts in English - this is due to the upcoming Xboxlife International but also because my Swedish still sucks.

First of all, Xboxlife Sweden is doing really great. We are getting more and more users, and our visitor count seems to increase on a daily basis. Last week we finally got our Gamerpoint Highscore up and running - as far as I know, we are the only Xbox community in Sweden to offer this service to our users. I am a huge fan of gamerpoints myself - unfortunately I do not have as much time as I would like to increase my gamerscore :-)

Anyways, what I really wanted to tell you guys about is a new game that I just got my hands on: Rock Band 2. Before getting Rock Band 2, I have been playing the prequel a lot, I even imported both the Rock Band and a NTSC Xbox 360 from the US to be able to play it. The first Rock Band is not even officially released in Denmark yet - but I know it's already out in Sweden.

But since I already have the NTSC Xbox, I thought I might as well try and import Rock Band 2 from the US. I always use the same buyer there, so I didn't have to rely on eBay for this. After waiting one week, the game finally arrived yesterday - and as soon as I had it in my hands, I started playing the new rock tunes. Actually I played for about 12 hours straight, meaning that when I was finally ready to go to bed, it was close to 4.00 in the morning.

So far I have mainly been playing the "World Tour"-mode, which you can actually play as a single player in Rock Band 2 - where you had to be at least two persons to play it in Rock Band 1. This also means that there is no "real" single player-mode in the game.

Last night I managed to play close to 70 songs, and I must say that the game has an impressive set list. I was already familiar with a lot of the tracks, but there's also a couple of new ones that mainly surprised me in a positive way. (Obviously there's also the more boring songs that sucks - but only a few of them). Another pretty cool feature is that the game will actually import the songs from Rock Band 1 that you have purchased at the Xbox Marketplace - you can even import the songs from the Rock Band 1 DVD.

The most cool thing about Rock Band 2 is really that you can now play the World Tour online, and you can even compete against other online bands in a "Battle of the Bands"-mode. I haven't had the time to check this feature out yet though, but I made some plans with a couple of friends, beer and some booze this weekend - the combination of booze + groupies + Rock Band has proven to be pretty fun in the past :-)

Finally, if you did not see the impressive set list from Rock Band 2 yet, here it is, i have marked a couple of my favorites:

1. AC/DC “Let There Be Rock” 1970s
2. AFI “Girl’s Gone Grey” 2000’s
3.

Since my Swedish is a bit *erhm* rusty, I've decided to write my first blog here in English.

To make a long story short, I am the owner of Xboxlife.dk, the biggest Danish Xbox community and part owner of Xboxlife Sverige. I have been working with Xboxlife Denmark for the past five years, doing all sorts of Xbox coverage around the world.

About a year ago, I got the idea, that it would be nice to expand Xboxlife into other countries, and since I've known Marcus for more than a decade, it seemed obvious for us to start with Sweden. There are also plans for expanding into UK somewhere in the near future.

So what do I expect from Xboxlife Sverige?
Well I truly hope, that we can get enough active users to be able to have some really cool tournaments. We have a lot of expirence with tournaments from our Danish site, and it would be a dream come true, if we can do cross-border tournaments.

Basically we hope, that we will be able to give something to the Swedish Xbox Community that is not there already. Starting with a lot of nice previews of upcoming games such as Ninja Gaiden 2, Alone in the Dark, Top Spin 3 and LEGO Indiana Jones - all from the benefits of having a debug Xbox 360 kit.

I hope you will enjoy Xboxlife as much as I do.

Cya around, and feel free to drop me a message :)
